Alexandr Mérieux byl jmenován předsedou a  generálním ředitelem společnosti bioMérieux

Marcy l’Étoile, Francie – 15.12. 2017 – Představenstvo společnosti bioMérieux se dnes sešlo a jmenovalo Alexandra Mérieux předsedou a výkonným ředitelem (CEO) společnosti.  Alexandr Mérieux byl po tři roky zástupcem výkonného ředitele Jean-Luca Bélingarda, který byl CEO společnosti od roku 2010. 

Další z generace Mérieux zaujímá pozici předsedy a výkonného ředitele a tak pokračuje role rodiny ve vedení společnosti. Jean-Luc Bélingard zůstává v představenstvu společnosti bioMérieux jako ředitel a bude i nadále pokračovat ve svých povinnostech jako víceprezident Institutu Mérieux. Po boku Alaina Mérieux, se bude zabývat především strategickými a institucionálními vztahy.

In various roles at bioMérieux for 12 years, Alexandre has demonstrated his humanity and operational talents, and this has been clearly reflected by the Company’s performance during that time. I have great faith in the future of bioMérieux. I would also like to thank Jean-Luc Bélingard, who joined us in the bioMérieux adventure for seven years. He shared the benefit of his experience in diagnostics and pharmaceutical industry, acquired working for cutting-edge international groups. His vision of innovation, particularly valuable as we developed in the field of molecular diagnostics, has helped us position ourselves at the forefront of the diagnostics of tomorrow. I am pleased that he will continue to work with me at Institut Mérieux.”

The seven years I’ve spent as Chairman and CEO of bioMérieux have provided an opportunity for me to contribute to building an exceptional bioindustrial success story. We have made wise acquisitions and entered into agreements that turned out to be decisive for the Company’s future. I know that the momentum will continue with Alexandre at the helm, with the same long-term and humanistic vision of our business.”

Vedle své funkce náměstka generálního ředitele bioMérieux, je od roku 2014 Alexandre Mérieux místopředsedou Institutu Mérieux a předsedou Mérieux Développement. Předsedá táké Mérieux NutriSciences. V rámci společnoti bioMérieux zastával různé úlohy a odpovědnosti: víceprezident mikrobiologického oddělení od 2011 do 2014, dále průmyslového oddělení od 2005 do 2011.

Od roku 1999 do 2004 byl Alexandr Mérieux poveřen marketingem v Silliker Group Corporation ve Spojených státech a Evropě, po níž se stal ředitelem v marketingovém a obchodním oddělení. Alexandre Mérieux se narodil v roce 1974. Získal titul z oboru biologie na univerzitě v Lyonu a je absolventem  školy - HEC Montreal Business School.
